July 1st - October 30th

From Thursday, July 1st to Saturday, October 30th, The Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Cultural Centre are pleased to host the ‘K-Cinema Celebration in Canada (KCC in Canada)’ in conjunction with Consulate Generals in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. In honour of YOUN Yuh-Jung, winner of the ‘Best Supporting Actress’ at Oscars for her role in Minari, this year’s festival will showcase various films highlighting her longstanding and distinguished career. In addition, the ‘K-Cinema Celebration in Canada’ will introduce diverse independent films and media artists’ works that were not easily accessible to Canadian audiences. This year, the event will take place online due to COVID-19, making this year’s selection of Korean films available for streaming across Canada, in the safety and comfort of your homes.
