    2024 Korea Stage Festa   The newly introduced <2024 Korea Stage Festa> is an integrated performing arts event organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Korea Arts Management Service. It aims to spark national interest in performing arts and serve as a platform for international promotion.   In collaboration with Korea's representative national theaters, such as the National Theater of Korea, National Theater Company of Korea (Myeongdong Theater), and the Seoul Arts Center, this event showcases prominent performances. It reaches out to audiences with open performances held at venues accessible to all, including the Cheong Wa Dae, which is now open to the public and loved by the nation, and the long-standing artistic hub of Seogye-dong, the former site of the National Theater Company.   Additionally, various events will be held nationwide throughout October, offering a wealth of performance content.   5. 65th Korean Folk Arts Festival

    65th Korean Folk Art Festival in Gumi The Korean Folk Art Festival is one of the oldest festivals in Korea. It began in 1958 under the name “National Folk Art Contest of Korea” in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Korean government's establishment. Over 700 folk heritage assets including Talchum (mask dance), Nongak (farmer’s performance), Ganggangsullae (women’s circle dance) and Juldarigi (Tug-of-war), have been discovered through the festival. More than 140 intangible cultural heritage assets designated by the state, city and province, as well as 12 items listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritages were revealed through the festival to recognize the beauty and preservation value of Korean traditional culture.
