The Korean Cultural Centre invited Taekwondo Demonstration team Kukkiwon from all the way from Korea to show Canadians fabulous Taekwondo demonstration. Kukkiwon traveled Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa from August 11th to 15th and around 2500 people came to watch their performances. 

In every event, we had memorial ceremony of Master Jongsu Lee who brought Taekwondo to Canada in 1964 and who was Coach for Canada's national team. For this moment, the directors of Taekwondo Canada from each city came up on the stage and mentioned about how Master Jongsu Lee was dedicated to teach Taekwondo to Canadians and what he have done through last 40 years. Especially in Montreal, the wife and great-grand daugther came to watch Kukkiwon's demonstration.   

Before Kukkiwon perform in Ottawa, they visited Parliament hill and show short version of demonstration on the grass in front of Parliament hill.

A lots of Canadians were very surprised by the level of Kukkiwon and especially the children who is learning Taekwondo in Canada wanted to take pictures with members and get autographs of Kukkiwon. People who came to watch performance said that through Kukkiwon's demonstration, they could learn the spirit and manners of Taekwondo. Also the last part of performance was expressing a peace and harmony of Canada and Korea by waiving two countries national flag while members of Kukkiwon are performing. 

 The Korean Cultural Centre was very honoured and pleased to have Kukkiwon team in Canada and introuduce Korean traditional sport Taekwondo!
