  2. 2024 Children's Day Special Program - DIY Cake Workshop

    ✱︎Date: Friday, May 3rd, 2024, 5-7 pm (ET) ✱︎Location: Korean Cultural Centre  The Korean Cultural Centre successfully hosted the "2024 Children's Day Special Program - DIY Cake Workshop" at the Korean Cultural Centre on Friday, May 3rd at 5 pm. Through this program, 30 participants learned about Children's Day in Korea and its history and meaning. Followed by DIY Cake Workshop, they made Dirt Cake Cups using various Korean snacks.

  4. Tranquil Korean Tea Experience with a Tea Sommelier

    The KCC hosted the<Tranquil Korean Tea Experience with a Tea Sommelier> on Friday, May 24.   The participants learned about Korea's tea culture, history, traditions and different Korean tea types, production regions. They also had an opportunity to experience Darye, the Korean tea ceremony, and a tea tasting of three different types of Korean tea, including Sejak (green tea), Balhyocha (black tea) and Korean mistletoe (herbal tea). The tea tasting was paired with traditional Korean desserts. Soo Park, a renowned Korean tea sommelier from Toronto, led this workshop.  
  5. My Love Hangeul! My Own Eco Bag Making Workshop

    On the occasion of hosting the Kaleidoscopic Korea 2: Hangeul Exhibition, the KCC Canada organized <My Love Hangeul! My Own Eco Bag Making Workshop>.  The participants also had an opportunity to learn basic information on Hangeul and toured the Hangeul Exhibition with the exhibition's curator before making eco bags.  The Hangeul eco bag making workshop was led by Ms. Eunjung Cho, traditional Korean craft workshop expert.   - Date:   Friday, May 17, 2024 - Time:  17:00 -20:00 - Venue: Korean Cultural Centre (Unit 101- 150 Elgin St, Ottawa, ON K2P 1L4)
