Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Toronto Office Recruitment Notice

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Toronto Office is seeking to Marketing Coordinator as outlined below. Interested applicants should the required application documents by February 22, 2026 (Sunday), 24:00 (EST).




1. Position Overview

Position Title: Marketing Coordinator
Number of Positions: One (1)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with travel industry partners to support the development and promotion of inbound tourism products to Korea

  • Manage and cultivate media relationships and PR campaigns with journalists and influencers

  • Plan and execute tourism-related travel trade (B2B) events in Canada

  • Participate and operate tradeshow and other promotional event activities to promote Korean tourism and provide relevant travel information to visitors

  • Research, analyze and prepare Canadian market trend reports

  • Review campaign creatives and prepare detailed post-campaign reporting for various marketing and PR campaigns

  • Provide general administrative support

Expected Start Date: April 1, 2026 (Wednesday)




2. Compensation and Working Conditions

  • Annual salary contract (one-year term), including a three-month probationary period

  • Salary to be determined through separate negotiation based on qualifications and experience

  • Medical insurance provided in accordance with internal regulations (not applicable during the probationary period; partial employee contribution required)

  • Standard working hours: 35 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00; excluding a one-hour unpaid lunch break from 12:00–13:00)

  • Work location: KTO Toronto Office only



3. Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to reside and work in Canada and meet one of the following conditions:

  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident eligible for stable long-term employment; or

  • Holder of a valid Canadian Work Permit with at least two (2) years of validity remaining from the anticipated start date (April 1, 2026)

  • Native-level proficiency in both English and Korean (verbal and written communication)

  • Strong understanding of marketing and experience related to Korea

  • Proficiency in business software applications (e.g., MS Office)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Korean office software (e.g., HWP – Hangul Word Processor)

  • At least one (1) year of administrative work experience at a Korean organization

  • Valid local driver’s license and ability to drive competently

  • Ability to communicate in French

Additional Conditions:

  • No support will be provided for obtaining or extending a Work Permit, Permanent Residency, or Citizenship

  • Must be able to commute to the office

5. Recruitment Process

1st Stage: Document Screening

  • Evaluation of qualifications, professional experience, and job-related competencies

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be notified individually regarding interview scheduling

2nd Stage: Interview and Practical Assessment

  • Comprehensive evaluation of job understanding, professional expertise, job performance capability, language proficiency, and overall suitability

  • Practical Assessment: Preparation of a market trend report and related documents (in Korean or English)

  • The candidate with the highest score will be selected as the final candidate and notified individually

  • In the event of a tie, preference will be given to the candidate with greater relevant experience

  • The selected candidate will be required to submit additional supporting documents (e.g., proof of qualifications)

  • Final employment confirmation will be subject to verification of eligibility and background review

※ If the selected candidate declines the offer, is disqualified, or becomes ineligible, KTO may appoint an alternate candidate in order of ranking within three (3) months from the intended start date.




6. Important Notes
