The Korean Cultural Centre is looking for part-time workers for our Korea Week events in June.

You may apply for multiple positions as long as the working hours do not conflict with each other.

Please note that all roles will require candidates to demonstrate their suitability for the roles.

1. Shuttle guide (Saturday, June 10, 2023)

- 2 guides for 15:30 – 19:30 ($25/hour)

- 2 guides for 19:30 – 23:30 ($30/hour)

- Location: Parking lot 7 at Carleton University, Ottawa

- Dinner provided

2. Costumed performers (Saturday, June 10, 2023)

- Greeting guests in mascot costumes (2 costumes in total)

- 4 costume performers to work in rotation

- Time: 12:30 – 17:30

- Location: Lansdowne, Ottawa

- Compensation: $35/hour

- Two meals provided, 30 minutes lunch & dinner break.

- To work in teams of 2

- Each team is to:

• -Work in costume for 20 minutes

• -Have 10 minutes break & take off the costume, with the other team taking the costumes.

• -Team not in costume is to assist costumed performers and festival attendees (e.g., taking photos for the attendees, providing beverages, etc.)

3. KTO Booth Coordinators (Saturday, June 10, 2023)

- 4 coordinators

- Time: 12:00 – 21:00

- Location: Lansdowne, Ottawa

- Compensation: $25/hour

- Lunch and dinner provided

- One-hour break, and 30 minutes additional lunch & dinner break.

4. Heavy Item Movers (Saturday, June 10, 2023)

- 2 movers for 09:00 – 13:00 ($25/hour)

- 2 movers for 21:00 – 23:00 ($30/hour)

- Location: KCC and Lansdowne, Ottawa

- Compensation: $25/hour

- Lunch or dinner provided

- Physically demanding role. Male candidates are preferred.

5. Interpreters (Saturday, June 10, 2023)

- 3 interpreters fluent in Korean and English

- Time: 11:00 – 21:00

- Location: Ottawa

- Compensation: $25/hour

- Lunch and dinner provided

- One-hour break, and 30 minutes additional lunch & dinner break.

6. Interpreter (Monday, June 12, 2023)

- 1 interpreter fluent in Korean and English

- Time: 10:30 – 21:00

- Location: Ottawa

- Compensation: $25/hour

- Lunch and dinner provided

- One-hour break, and 30 minutes additional lunch & dinner break.

7. Interpreter (Wednesday, June 14, 2023)

- 1 interpreter fluent in Korean and English

- Time: 16:00 – 19:00

- Location: Ottawa

- Compensation: $25/hour
