Call for Applications for the 14th Friends of Korea

The Korea Culture and Information Service (KOCIS) of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is operating 'Friends of Korea' and 'Facts Korea' to promote correct information about South Korea and spread its beautiful culture to the world. KOCIS is now accepting applications for the 14th Friends of Korea.

□ Overview

ㅇ Recruitment size: About 70 people

ㅇ Activity period: March 17, 2022 (Thursday) December 31, 2022 (Saturday)/9.5 months

ㅇ Main activities: Correcting inaccurate information about South Korea and enhancing its national image

□ Schedule

ㅇ Application period: January 21, 2022 (Friday) to February 15 (Tuesday) at 17:00 (KST)

ㅇ Results announced: March 4, 2022 (Friday) via website and email

ㅇOpening ceremony and orientation: March 17, 2022 (Thursday) via Zoom (mandatory)

□ Qualifications

ㅇ South Koreans and foreigners over 18 years old living in South Korea or abroad

ㅇ Able to use Korean* and foreign languages to correct inaccurate information about Korea circulating in international media worldwide and provide foreigners with proper information about Korean culture via online and offline promotion

*Those whose native language is not Korean should possess sufficient proficiency in Korean to be able to participate in the above activities

ㅇ Basic knowledge of Korean culture, sports, and tourism

ㅇ Assume responsibility for all assigned duties and actively participate in producing and promoting content related to 'Facts Korea'
