The 7th episode of K-Food Webtoon Series is Kimchi-bokkeum-bap. Today we would like to introduce a simple Kimchi dish that alone can serve as a meal. Kimchi-bokkeum-bap on its own, cooked with aged, sour kimchi, balances the greasiness of the oil and a bowl of rice results one of favorite Korean meal!

The KCC launched the K-Food Webtoon series last April to introduce Korean food and recipes to provide an opportunity to learn to cook and try Korean food from home. We hope you will try these recipes and continue to experience Korean culture at home.

About ‘Kimchi-bokkeum-bap’

Kimchi-bokkeum-bap is the perfect answer when nothing else is in the fridge, when you’re feeling lazy, when nothing seems appetizing, or when there’s leftover rice lying around. If a meal consists of just rice and kimchi, it might be too bare. But Kimchi-bokkeum-bap transforms two basic items into a complete stand-alone dish with great flavor and visual appeal.
