The Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Cultural Centre are recruiting Honorary Reporters who are passionate content creators, with great love and knowledge of Korea and Korean culture!

As an Honorary Reporter, you will be invited to attend various events and initiatives hosted by the Korean Embassy and the Korean Cultural Centre, write about the event and your experiences of it, and share it with fellow Canadians who missed the opportunity to attend in person!

With your writing talents, you will encourage other Canadians to be informed of various Korean cultural activities taking place, encourage their future participation, and ultimately, invite others to also become a part of the movement to building a positive spirit of Korea-Canada relations.

Please find below detailed information regarding our recruitment process:

Number of Honorary Reporters recruiting

• Number to be determined

• We will ensure diversity in age, gender, interests, and time flexibility

Qualifications

• Those who are able to attend Korean Embassy and Korean Cultural Centre events

• Preference will be given to those with active social media presence

• Apt at digital communications and creative-writing

• One or more proficiency in writing, social media, photography, videography

• Diverse interests in Korean culture and society, Korea-Canada relations

Activities

• Attend and blog about Korean Embassy and Korean Cultural Centre activities as assigned by the Honorary Reporter Coordinator to be told in an easy-to-read, attractive, storytelling format

• Discover and blog about various Korea-related stories in Canada. Ex) Korea-related stories in local newspapers, interesting stories of Korean immigrants, interesting Canadians with deep ties to Korea, etc that will interest Canadian audiences

• All contents are to be posted either in English or French

• From March 2020 to February 2021
